Big Bluestem Sunset

Took these pictures this evening while on the way home. The big bluestem is starting to get BIG! Just like the old saying, it gets as tall as a man on horseback. I'm gonna have to go find me a big one and measure it to see how tall a man is on horseback ;) Last year I found one that was 8 1/2 feet tall, so we'll see how the bluestem grew this year! Another name for it is Turkey Track (when it seeds out the tops look like a turkey track)that was what my great-grandpa used to call it(not the great-grandpa in the old picture).

Big Eyes......

This Yellow Grasshopper was out by my front porch this evening.
I still can't figure out what kind of grasshopper this is, so I'll just call it a yellow grasshopper!

Check out those BIG eyes.........

Now, here's the new thing that I'm gonna start doing, I'm going to list all of the settings that I used while taking this picture. So, bear with me as I try to learn to use this Canon camera!

Oklahoma Thunderheads

I took this tonight when we were coming up out of Wild Hog Creek.

The storms went way south of us, but they made for some good pictures!

Here's a view looking back at Wild Hog creek.....
